Williams celebrates his first winner as a trainer

Former jockey Christian Williams saddled a first landmark winner as a trainer after Juge Et Parti had little difficulty in taking the concluding bumper in comfortable style.

Williams, who is based near Cardiff, said: "Obviously I could not be more pleased to get the first winner out of the way as it's always important when you are starting out.

"It's even more staifying that the horse is owned by Dai Walters, who has been a great help and backed me all the way. We have a great set-up and some very nice young horses to run in the near future, so let's hope this is the first of many."
