Whiskey Sour completed a big-race Galway double as he swooped to land the feature Guinness Handicap under a deftly judged ride from Declan McDonogh.

The Willie Mullins-trained four-year-old, who had won the 2m1f amateur handicap on Monday, was in the second half of the field early on and made steady headway on the outside to take second turning in.

The leader Mawaany looked to have been ridden to perfection by Colin Keane, but the pair were worn down late in the day by Whiskey Sour and McDonogh. The first two finished well clear of Le Vagabond in third.
