Shortly after Facile Vega had shattered the dreams of six different owners in the concluding bumper on day one of the Dublin Racing Festival, the chant began: "There's only one Willie Mullins; there's only one Willie Mullins; walking along, singing a song, walking in a Willie wonderland."

It was all going grand until they got the bit before wonderland all wrong. Some went with Willie, others opted for Mullins, and a few even tried to squeeze in Willie Mullins. They weren't in harmony, but they did get something right. There is indeed only one Willie Mullins. And, there might never be another one.

When asked for his reflections on the day, Ireland's 15-time champion trainer, replied: "It was a great winner for Gordon in the big race and, you know, we had a good day as well."
