Ruby Walsh made a winning return after a few days off following a heavy fall at Bellewstown on Thursday, but it was Phillip Enright who stole the riding honours with a 116/1 brace.

On a difficult day for Kerry football fans, Enright, a locally-based Kingdom native, received immense praise from James Dullea for his handling of the highly-strung Tikkanen Express in the opening maiden hurdle. The towering five-year-old proved a handful to mount but Enright showed great patience.

Dullea eventually managed to assist his rider into the plate halfway down to the start, after which Enright excelled.
