Vintage Connoisseur grabs top prize with late burst

Although without a win since 2014, the six-year-old Suzi's Connoisseur bounced back to land the £51,250 sunbets.co.uk Handicap for trainer Stuart Williams and owners The Connoisseurs.
One of two Williams-trained runners in the 13-strong field, he tracked the leaders in a race run at just an ordinary gallop before running on with great gusto for Oisin Murphy to beat the well-backed 7-2 favourite, and long-time leader, Holiday Magic by a head.
