Viens Chercher shines for Martin and Ellison to beat Blue Heron

Owner Phil Martin and trainer Brian Ellison are no strangers to success at Market Rasen and they lowered the colours of former Grade 2 Kingwell Hurdle winner Blue Heron with Viens Chercher in the 2m1f novice chase.

Paddy Brennan made it a stiff test of stamina to make all by eight lengths aboard the second favourite, while Blue Heron ran an encouraging race on his first start for 555 days and chase debut to finish second.
