Victory for Man Of Plenty ensures Leech family harmony

Man Of Plenty, very much a family pet, surged up the Sandown hill to win the Listed 2m handicap hurdle and keep the peace in the Leech household.
The decision to run the nine-year-old so soon after a good fourth at Newbury last week was a bone of contention between trainer Sophie Leech and husband and assistant Christian.
Eventually the call was made for Sophie to go down the road to Chepstow with Christian heading up the M4 with Man Of Plenty – and his bold suggestion to run at Sandown was rewarded.
