Apprentice Patrick Vaughan is only 18 and was grateful just to get the mount on Steel Train in the £20,000 7f handicap.

But the 7lb claimer fully repaid trainer David O'Meara's faith by landing the biggest victory of his career as he drove the 3-1 favourite to a neck success.
