Twitter user set to eat his words as Gowran double sees Keane kick three clear

Colin Keane extended his lead to three in the titanic Irish Flat jockeys' title race as World War got off the mark at the 11th time of asking, leaving one Twitter user set for a visit to the sales, after he'd consumed a rather large portion of humble pie.

The Twitter account named @Donny_Vito gave winning trainer Ger Lyons an ultimatum in mid-June, tweeting: "If you can get World War to win a race this season I will come and buy a £50,000 two-year-old with you next year."

Lyons accepted the gauntlet thrown down to him and replied: "Brave shout! Could be an expensive shout", with the 8-11 favourite duly obliging by a length and a half at the Kilkenny venue on Tuesday.
