Life as a freelance jump jockey began swimmingly for Sam Twiston-Davies, even if it was hard to notice any change.

Twiston-Davies completed a double aboard Amour Du Nuit and Secret Investor, who were among three rides from the stable of Paul Nicholls, the trainer he announced his split from last Friday.

Even though Harry Cobden, the new stable number one, and Sean Bowen were both suspended, Twiston-Davies's links with Ditcheat have not been totally severed as he steps into what he hopes will be a career of continued success
