Trophy presentation postponed for amateur champion Millman

Testing ground denied Pat Millman a deserved place in the spotlight to celebrate his championship.

He'd been due to receive the trophy for top turf Flat amateur male jockey but his mount Bollihope was withdrawn from the last race of the season so he aborted his trip from Devon.

"I was 45 minutes into my journey and I had to do a U-turn, unfortunately," said Millman, who combines riding with the job of head groom to his father Rod.
