Lost Treasure is proving himself to be very aptly named. The War Front colt threw away the Listed Waterford Testimonial Stakes by jamming on the brakes as the line loomed and €44,707 was burnt at the minimum price on Betfair.

A deflated Donnacha O'Brien, who produced the Abbaye fifth with precision timing, described the experience as "not enjoyable" and those with fast fingers on the exchanges must have felt his pain too.

Medicine Jack pounced late to pick up the pieces under champion jockey Colin Keane, who was celebrating his 68th winner of the season. He got one over O'Brien here but he will have to hand over his title to him next month.
