A difficult few days for owner Craig Buckingham, whose Magic Pulse was incorrectly withdrawn at Nottingham last Wednesday, got somewhat better at the start of a new week.

Lincoln Park, a two-year-old he owns jointly with Gary Dewhurst, won the 6f nursery on his first start for Mick Appleby and it was seemingly to no-one's surprise, with the Kyllachy colt backed in to 11-8 favourite under Silvestre de Sousa.

Lincoln Park made his first three starts for Tony Coyle, and Buckingham explained afterwards: "Gary and I have had horses with Tony for years and he's done well with this lad. We just felt he would benefit from a change of scenery and freshening up."
