Hamdan Al Maktoum has some cracking prospects and, shortly after Nazeef’s easy victory at Kempton, the owner witnessed his 1.35 million guinea yearling purchase Maydanny record a first career success at Yarmouth.

The four-year-old son of Dubawi out of supermare Attraction managed only a couple of runner-up finishes last year, but he was clearly chucked in off an opening handicap mark of 80. He scooted clear of a decent field and he looks a super prospect for the campaign ahead.
