French claiming rider Maxime Tissier was having his first ride at the unique Sussex track on Banjo Girl in the mares handicap hurdle but you would not have known it.

Although he gets a 7lb allowance against the professionals, Tissier cannot ride as a conditional due to a rule involving his French career but certainly did not look out of place on Lucy Wadham's runner, who landed a gamble. The mare was backed into 11-8, from 2-1.

Keen early, Banjo Girl was soon moved to the head of affairs by Tissier, who was backing up a 20-1 winner for the yard at Towcester on Thursday.
