Life is good for trainer Sandy Thomson as he ponders a tilt at several of the season's biggest jumping prizes.

While he mulls over a variety of ambitious options for stable star Seeyouatmidnight, Thomson secured another success with the promising John Williams.

The strapping seven-year-old had his task made easier by the late defection of Ryalex but nevertheless displayed plenty of promise in the 2m4f novices' handicap chase.
