'The track brings out the best in him' - course specialist Langholm leads Connor Beasley double

Langholm, who has spent almost half of his career racing at Catterick, landed his third course win in the 7f classified event to kick off a double for Connor Beasley.
The nine-year-old burst from the stalls to make all the running and score by a length at odds of 9-2. He has now finished in the first three in 20 of his 35 runs at the track.
“He absolutely loves it here and won in good style,” Beasley said. “The track brings out the best in him.”
Beasley quickly followed up with a positive ride on Sophar Sogood, who ended a near four-year turf losing streak with victory in the 2m handicap.
The eight-year-old, whose most recent win had been on the all-weather at Kempton last August, took up a prominent position before staying on strongly to win by three and a half lengths.
Beasley, who was partnering the winner for the first time, told Racing TV: "He's done most of his running on the all-weather. It’s a sharp two miles here and we know he stays further, so you just have to keep the pressure on him.”
Burke scores again
Karl Burke continued his strong run with two-year-olds when Reverberate justified favouritism in the 7f maiden, becoming the trainer’s 36th juvenile winner of the season.
The son of Night Of Thunder travelled smoothly before quickening clear to win by two and a quarter lengths, building on placed efforts when fourth and third in his first two starts.
