Teenager Harry Swan keeps it in the family for first ever victory

Teenage amateur Harry Swan played a central part in a racing version of Family Favourites at Worcester on Monday, and his success on board Stacey Sue in the bumper was his very first in the saddle.

The Robin Des Champs mare, who is trained by the youngster's grandfather Timmy Hyde, scored by two lengths, with Swan's Champion Hurdle-winning father and former top jockey Charlie watching on.

The amateur said: ”It’s a great way to ride my first-ever winner, in front of my father and grandfather. I have a lot to live up to as they were both great jockeys in their own right. Everything went to plan in the race and she quickened clear to win really well.”
