It was a day for father and son teams – both on and off the track.

Leading trainer-jockey combo Peter and Sean Bowen enhanced their impressive strike-rate at the course when linking up for a double on favourites Cougar's Gold and Flying Eagle.

Speaking after prolific pointer Flying Eagle soared home in the 2m5f beginners' chase, the Pembrokeshire trainer said: "This is my lucky track and I love coming here, it's one of my favourites. It took us six hours to drive up but it's a beautiful place and is totally unique."
