Swaffham hares home for Vaughan and Australian owners

Ed Vaughan is hoping the success of Swaffham Bulbeck in the 1m½f median auction maiden might be the start of something.

The Newmarket trainer was sending out only his third runner in the last two weeks, but has five entered on Saturday and two more next Monday.

"I have 27 horses and nearly half of them are two-year-olds," said Vaughan, explaining the quiet spell. "But it feels like I'm running half the stable in the next week."
