A meeting dominated by hunter chases and point-to-point races would not exactly be a common occurrence in November, but this is 2020 and the decision to put on this fixture was rewarded with a cracking turnout for the feature hunter chase.

The field included It Came To Pass and Billaway, first and second in the Foxhunter at Cheltenham in March, but they had to play supporting roles to the almost forgotten Stand Up And Fight, who scored at odds of 16-1 for Enda Bolger and rider Aine O'Connor.

The challenge of It Came To Pass began to fade before two out, at which point Billaway came through to challenge Stand Up And Fight and looked the likely winner himself at the last before he blundered his chance away. To be fair to the winner, he jumped well and galloped on resolutely, holding Billaway's renewed effort by a length and a half.
