Stamina concern over Lowther winner's 1,000 Guineas chance

Frankel's success as a stallion continued in the Sky Bet Lowther Stakes, but not with the filly most expected, as Queen Kindly triumphed with long odds-on shot Fair Eva third.

The Albany third is a top-priced 12-1 for the Qipco 1,000 Guineas after scoring by three-quarters of a length, but the dam's side of her pedigree offers serious cause for concern that she will stay a mile.

The dam, Lady Of The Desert, was also a Lowther winner and at three tackled the French 1,000 Guineas and Coronation Stakes over a mile, but managed only fifth and sixth respectively.
