Spring is in the air with talk of Epsom outing after Lord blitzes rivals

Spring has seemed as far away as ever over the past week or so with endless rain and howling winds, but the mere mention of Epsom is enough to reassure us all that sunnier conditions will arrive soon.

It was local trainer Michael Attwater who had his mind on Epsom after watching his rapid Just That Lord burn off all his rivals in an impressive display of controlled speed under Luke Morris in the 5f handicap.

“He’s a very fast horse,” Attwater said. “Luke’s always said he’s one of the fastest horses he’s sat on – if you really let him fly then he probably wouldn’t even really stay five furlongs.
