Callum Pritchard continued to close in on riding out his claim as he made it four winners from six rides aboard Arnie Moon in the 2m novices' handicap hurdle.
The 100-30 favourite showed signs of greenness and backed off at every hurdle, according to his jockey, but was still able to saunter 15 lengths clear to continue a best season yet for trainer Joe Tickle.
The Welsh rider added to a treble at Exeter on Sunday to leave him just six winners away from turning professional. The conditional has already notched up notable winners on Al Dancer in the 2024 Badger Beers and Imperial Saint in the Peter Marsh earlier in the season.
Pritchard told Sky Sports Racing: "The horse is as raw as anything. Throughout the race I was having to kid him along, and every time he saw a hurdle he was backing off.
"He just doesn't have a clue, he's just a bit backwards. He's run enough times but he's a slow learner. When they win like that you can deal with it, though.
"There's just six more to go [to ride out my claim]. Then I'll be in the deep end with no hiding places. It's great to have another good season and a lot of trainers and owners supporting me, which is always the key. Hopefully it can keep going well."
Easy winner
Isabella Islay stepped forward from her third-placed finish last month to land the 2m3½f mares' maiden hurdle in impressive fashion under Richard Patrick for trainer Clive Boultbee-Brooks.
