So Scottish is so natural and scores on chasing debut for Mullins and Byrne
Monday: Tipperary
So Scottish produced a flawless fencing debut to land the 2m3f rated novice chase and looks another potential money-spinner for Emmet Mullins and owner Paul Byrne.
The five-year-old won his sole point-to-point at Corbeagh House last December and looked a natural over fences, especially at the second-last, where a slick leap effectively sealed the deal.
He coasted clear under Donagh Meyler to beat Railway Hurricane by seven lengths and Mullins admitted afterwards that "jumping has always been his forte".
Byrne and Mullins teamed up to great effect with Cheltenham Festival winner The Shunter two seasons ago and the pair could have another exciting prospect on their hands.
Another Model performance
The Model Kingdom extended her winning sequence to four under jumps rules as the exciting mare made a winning start to her hurdling career in the 2m mares' maiden hurdle.
A winner of a Grade 3 bumper at Punchestown last season, the 1-6 favourite always had matters under control under Bryan Cooper and scored by three and a half lengths.
Winning trainer Noel Meade said she will be kept to two miles for now, having been defeated only once in her career when runner-up on the Flat in the summer.
Badger bolts up in bumper
There were no nasty surprises for punters in the concluding 2m bumper as Kiki Badger justified odds-on favouritism in impressive fashion by 21 lengths under Aine O'Connor.
