Snapdragon shows plenty of Fire to warm up Winter Ladies Day

Newmarket-based solicitors Edmondson Hall sponsored the card on Winter Ladies Day for the first time and many of their clients were celebrating the success of Snapdragon Fire in the lady riders' handicap hurdle.

The 7-2 joint favourite, trained by Tom Lacey, was scoring for the second time in as many starts at the track when going clear after the last under Lucy Barry.

Mark Edmondson, co-founder of the sponsors, said: "I did have £30 on the winner which will help and we've been well looked after.
