Skeltons at their best as Gortroe Joe bounces back to contribute to four-timer

Dan Skelton brought up his first double century on the card and a candidate for his best training performance of the season came with Gortroe Joe, who bounced back to winning ways in the day's feature.

Terry Warner's seven-year-old had pulled up the time before, and been found to have an atrial fibrillation, but he was primed for the 2m5½f novice handicap chase and scored impressively.

He was keen early on but kicked for home around the bend and ran out a convincing 12-length winner.
