Silver sparkles in Listed Sandown event to set up Grade 2 tilt

Silver Forever sparkled in the Listed Unibet Mares’ Hurdle to set up a return to Sandown next month for a Grade 2 following her smooth success.

The six-year-old grey had to be switched by Harry Cobden in the straight but travelled strongly into the 2m4f race and pulled comfortably clear of pacesetter Copper Gone West in the closing stages.

Harry Derham, assistant to winning trainer Paul Nicholls, said: "She was good, she’ll stay further than this and jumps very well. She’s a talented mare and stays thoroughly so she was always going to get home on that ground.
