Shades Of Midnight powers home to give Paisley Park another boost

Even when your Cheltenham credentials are as strong as Paisley Park's, a further form boost does not do any harm.

Shades Of Midnight got within half a length of the Sun Racing Stayers' Hurdle favourite in receipt of 10lb on Betfair Chase day here in November, and produced another determined staying display to win the Grade 2 Rendlesham Hurdle by eight lengths.

Trainer Sandy Thomson, who enjoyed winning the race for a second time following the victory of Seeyouatmidnight in 2014, said: "We know what Paisley Park has done since and Brian Hughes said he must be a good horse as Shades Of Midnight wasn't stopping last time here.
