SAS partnership still lethal in the box – the Coral box, that is

The memories of 1996 were sweet, but they had nothing to do with Imperial Call winning the Gold Cup or Collier Bay sweeping off with the Champion Hurdle.

Instead it was Euro 96 that came back to life as Alan Shearer’s second goal in England’s famous 4-1 win over Holland was recreated in the Coral hospitality box overlooking the Cheltenham winning line.

Shearer, the scorer of 30 England goals turned Match Of The Day pundit and Coral football ambassador, was there to relive his deadly SAS partnership that had the country swooning to the strains of ‘Football’s Coming Home’.
