Things don't always go to plan, but sometimes it doesn't matter. Take Sakhee's Return, who won his first race for more than two years when taking the 7f handicap for trainer Tim Easterby and David Allan in the colours of Ontoawinner.

Normally he is ridden close to the pace, but this time Allan had to adopt plan B and from last on the home bend he came with a rare rattle to get up close home and win by a neck.

Allan said: "I didn't plan to ride him that way but they went so fast that I couldn't keep up.
