Kajaki justified strong market support to maintain his unbeaten record over hurdles for Kevin Ryan in the feature introductory hurdle.

The Kevin Ryan-trained five-year-old, who was an impressive winner at Sedgefield the time before, held a strong position before battling on well to deny Tight Call in an appropriately close finish.

Ryan said: "He took to his jumping very well – from the first time we schooled him he was always pretty good.
