Roxyfet returns to form for fifth course win after help from the handicapper

Having been given a chance by the handicapper Roxyfet gained his first win since March 2016 when romping home in the 2m½f handicap chase.

It was the second time in three years he had won the race – it was one of five races he won in a remunerative spell two seasons ago.

In a race run at a frenetic gallop he was given a fine ride by Finian O'Toole, who settled him well off the gallop until bringing him through in the straight to win by three lengths.
