Roudee takes consolation prize to supplement season's gains

The tough Roudee scored for the second time this season when coming out best in a tight call for the William Hill Silver Trophy, the consolation race for those horses who failed to get into the Great St Wilfrid Handicap.

In a race in which the 20-runner field split into two equal groups, it was the stands'-side pack that held the call with Roudee and Richard Kingscote getting home by a neck from Mishaal, with the
11-2 favourite Rex Imperator a short head further back in third.
