Resilient Murtagh works his Magic to register 55-1 double at Naas

After watching Yolo Star complete a 55-1 double for him in the 5f nursery, Johnny Murtagh paused for a moment, smiled and then delivered the words he believes best describes the trials and tribulations of training racehorses.

"Resilient. That is the one word I would use to describe trainers. You simply have to be resilient," said Murtagh.

That resilience is being rewarded by a steady stream of winners and his latest pair, Mister Magic in the 6f claimer and Yolo Star, brought his tally to a very respectable 21 for the season. Both are owned by Fitzwilliam Racing whom he has struck up a great relationship with.
