Reserve Tank has plenty of improvement yet for Tizzard team
Never be put off by one defeat, even at odds-on, and Reserve Tank duly rewarded those who kept the faith.
The dual Grade 1 hurdles winner may have been beaten first time over fences at Chepstow but he made a perfectly encouraging start there in a small-field affair that did not bring his stamina fully into play.
Colin Tizzard was not panicking and the five-year-old put the record straight in good style at Wincanton, jumping soundly and picking up strongly in the straight. He remains a smart prospect for the top novice chases this season.
