Rain right up Dolphin's street as he lands valuable prize

On the day Beverley held a race in honour of award-winning journalist Tom O'Ryan, who died on Tuesday aged 61, it was appropriate that the Richard Fahey yard, to which Tom had such a close attachment, won the 1m2f handicap with Dolphin Vista.

Although the Beverley Bullet was undoubtedly the marquee race on the eight-race card, Dolphin Vista's first prize of £28,013 was just a few hundred pounds behind what Alpha Delphini scooped an hour or so earlier.

"That was his ground today," said winning jockey David Nolan. "It was too quick for him last time."
