Pure Bliss lands novice spoils as Anythingforlove suffers saddle malfunction

Jamie Snowden was left to rue a frustrating debut over obstacles for Anythingforlove after the exciting mare lost all chance of victory due to a saddle malfunction at the start.

The half-sister to Gold Cup hero Sizing John, a winner of her two bumper starts, was sent off the 13-8 second favourite for the mares' novice hurdle, but had no assistance from jockey Gavin Sheehan throughout the 2m contest.

Sheehan had a torrid ride round, trying in vain to get control of his irons after the saddle slipped and Anythingforlove did well to finish fourth behind the Harry Fry-trained winner Pure Bliss.
