Pearl Noir brings up his century in style with exuberant all the way victory

Scott Dixon could probably not have wrote a finer script as his eight-year-old sprinter Pearl Noir made it a grand finale to the card at Catterick with a victory on his 100th career start.

His amateur partner Gareth Newmarch was only having his third ride under rules but had some spin on the exuberant front-runner, with the pair never seeing another rival from the starting gate to the line.

Furni Factors briefly threatened to rein in the centurion but the gap to the runaway leader was too far, leaving Pearl Noir to raise his bat in style.
