Paul Nicholls bowls over Brighton rivals with first course runner Whataguy

There were not many spectators at Lord's cheering between innings or delighted by rainfall – but Paul Nicholls has always been a one-off.

The champion jumps trainer was enjoying a day out at England's Cricket World Cup match against Australia with owner Andy Stewart.

And his mood was made even better when he discovered, courtesy of a phone call from the Racing Post as the home side were preparing to launch their reply, that his Whataguy had won at Brighton under daughter Megan.
