Even when you have a horse like Thistlecrack to savour it is not always about the big days.

For John and Heather Snook, owners of the Timico Cheltenham Gold Cup favourite, pleasure came from Bound Hill’s first win at the 12th try.

In a month from now the Snooks will be among 70,000 at Cheltenham with jump racing’s most prestigious prize up for grabs. But Heather said: “Days like this are just as good, I promise you,” before John added: “There’s not the pressure."
