Owners recall happy memories as they enjoy trooping the colours again

Perhaps it is time to replace the old adage 'horses for courses' with 'colours for courses' after two sets of winning owners were quick to reminisce about past glories.

Bahamian Sunrise gave the lie to any notion that the Caveat Emptor Partnership colours were something to beware of by winning the opening 5f handicap and James Greenley and Mark Goodall, who make up half the partnership, were happy to hear trainer John Gallagher suggest the Investec Dash if their sprinter can rise up the handicap.

Greenley then reminisced: "Our first horse with John was Lungarno Palace, who won the Great Met here at this meeting three years ago."
