One Boy, having just his second run for Paul Midgley, scrambled home by a short head for Paul Mulrennan in a close finish to the 5f handicap, with Royal Brave the same margin back in third.

Midgley said: "He ran a great race at Ayr and he probably hit the front too soon. I had my eye on him at the horses-in-training sales last autumn but he was too expensive and Richard Fahey picked him up.
