Old-timer proves to be a Kid at heart after narrow success

The old-timers of the turf served up the tastiest dish of the day as The Paparrazi Kid landed a narrow victory over Lisclogher Lad in the veterans' chase.

The Paparrazi Kid, trained by Willie Mullins, was recording his first win since leading home a 1-2-3 for the stable in a Grade 2 novice chase at Limerick in December 2013 and, despite his recent form figures, he proved he retains plenty of zest for the game with a hard-fought victory.

In the absence of the stable’s leading jockeys, Katie O’Farrell was entrusted with getting the job done and she took the opportunity with both hands to ride only her second winner for the champion trainer.
