Ok Corral sparkles on return from long break for Henderson

Nicky Henderson and JP McManus can breathe a sigh of relief after the twice-raced seven-year-old Ok Corral, who was making his first start for 746 days, showed he still has an engine by landing the novice hurdle by 12 lengths.

Last seen in April 2015 when finishing two-and-a-quarter-lengths behind subsequent four-time Grade 1 scorer Yorkhill, the 1-3 favourite was ridden confidently by Aidan Coleman in behind pacesetter Free One and cruised into the lead entering the home straight.

Briefly shaken up between the last two hurdles, when he put a considerable distance between himself and the rest of the field, he produced a picturesque jump at the last before cantering to a hard-held victory.
