Paul Nolan rarely misses an opportunity to fire home a winner at Wexford and, after sending out a treble at his local track, one of the locals urged him to play all of his games at home in the future.

Getting a treble on home soil certainly wasn’t lost on Nolan but the fact of the matter is that his string have been in irresistible form of late, regardless of the venue.

Monotype was the horse backed to deliver an early success for Nolan in the rated novice hurdle and he duly obliged in the hands of Bryan Cooper.
