Fresh from her ground-breaking trip to Dubai over the weekend, Josephine Gordon declared not only that she enjoyed the experience of riding at Meydan but hoped it would open more doors.

Back on the winter all-weather circuit, there was no winning return as Gordon was only seventh on her only mount of the afternoon, Gentlemen, in the 6f handicap won by King Robert.

The rider said: “It was a brilliant experience for me [in Dubai] as I had four rides for three different trainers. I came closest on the last of them when Riflescope was pipped by a short head – it would have been nice to ride a winner, but it just wasn't to be.
