Nicky Richards' team enjoyed a huge boost with the winter phase of the jumps season approaching as Caius Marcius ran out a highly-impressive winner of the Listed Prelude Handicap Hurdle.
Having travelled strongest in the race, he made his move past long-time leader Hatcher before staying on powerfully to land the feature by 11 lengths ahead of Theclockisticking and Political Policy.
