Nezwaah and Atzeni eventually find the path to success

A split-second of anxiety was quickly erased for Andrea Atzeni as the talented Nezwaah outclassed the opposition in the £50,000 Listed race.

Atzeni, riding at the track for the first time, found himself trapped behind a couple of horses as the action unfolded in the Rothesay Stakes.

But after switching round the field and forfeiting several lengths into the bargain, the 1-2 chance quickened impressively to stretch clear in the final furlong and defeat Sophie P by three and three-quarter lengths.
