They say that horses coming down the handicap find their level eventually, although in the case of Nearly Nama'd his return to winning ways was at the level at which he showed his best form two years ago.

The son of Millenary gave Sandra Hughes a big race success in this contest two years ago off a mark of 127 and repeated the dose this time off 129 having come down the handicap after some sub-standard efforts.

Austin Leahy saddled the horse to this success as the Kilmallock trainer continued the purple patch he is enjoying at present after his double at Limerick on Friday.
